How long does it take for colic to go away in babies?

Colic is a common physiological phenomenon in infants, and most of them last for about 3-5 minutes before disappearing, and the number of pains gradually decreases around 5 or 6 months of age. The triggering factors of infant colic include swallowing too much air while feeding, stomach dilatation due to overfeeding, and milk protein allergy. Most of them can be relieved by rest and diet adjustment. Children with recurrent colic can take probiotics to regulate the intestinal tract, and can also consider taking simethicone oil to relieve abdominal distension, pay attention to massage the abdomen, each clockwise massage for about 15 minutes, keep the abdomen warm, combined with exhaustion exercises to help them exhaust. When colic attacks, the baby cries and is restless and refuses to eat milk, parents are advised to hold the baby upright and pat the back in time after feeding to help the baby exhaust, which can effectively reduce the occurrence of colic.
