The National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) publishes annual clinical practice guidelines for various malignancies, which are authoritative guidelines followed by clinicians worldwide. The gastric cancer guidelines published by the National Comprehensive Cancer Network recommend regular follow-up of gastric cancer patients after radical surgery for early detection of recurrent metastases. The guidelines (2015.V2 version) recommend the following content and duration of follow-up for gastric cancer: 1. History and physical examination every 3-6 months for a total of 1-2 years; then every 6-12 months for a total of 3-5 years, followed by annual follow-up. 2. Routine blood and biochemical examinations were performed as appropriate. 3.CT of chest, abdomen and pelvis and endoscopy as appropriate. 4.Monitor nutritional deficiencies (e.g., vitamin B12, iron) and treat if necessary.
