Armpit odor is a common sweat gland disease in young people, is an unpleasant armpit emits a special odor similar to the fox, so commonly known as fox odor. The reason for this is the excessive secretion of sweat glands. The human body has about millions of sweat glands, according to the nature of their secretion can be divided into two kinds: one is small sweat glands, almost all over the body, directly open in the skin surface of the sweat hole, discharging clear sweat; the other is the sweat glands, only in the armpits, umbilical fossa and perineum, the glands open in the hair follicle. The secretion of the sweat glands is influenced by the gonads. Before puberty, because the sweat glands are not yet mature, there is no secretion function and fox odor does not occur. By puberty, the secretion of the gonads is strong, and the secretion of the sweat glands is also more, and their smell is also obvious to appear stinky. According to statistics, this disease has a clear heredity, and its mode of inheritance is dominant. Although axillary odor does not affect health, but the impact on daily life is greater. Now, although there are various methods of treatment for axillary odor, including external drug rubbing, local freezing, machine cautery, local injection of drugs and so on, which can be described as various, but the most thorough treatment method or surgical treatment. From the physiological anatomy, sweat glands are located in the deep skin and fat layer, sweat ducts open in the upper third of the hair follicle, a few direct opening on the skin surface. Therefore, axillary odor surgery is to surgically destroy the human sweat glands or cut off the sweat ducts, thus preventing the discharge of sweat and fundamentally achieving the purpose of getting rid of sweat odor. Our general surgery department combined with plastic and cosmetic expertise, after years of practice, we have used minimally invasive surgery to treat axillary odor, and so far there have been nearly 10,000 cases, and we have obtained good results. The minimally invasive axillary odor treatment is a 2~3 cm incision along the skin folds of the armpit to remove only the odoriferous sweat glands, which is a thorough treatment, slight trauma, short recovery time, small incision scar, and no pulling and other discomfort after healing. The biggest improvement that patients, especially female patients, can feel is that not only the odor is eliminated, but also there is no need to worry about the exposed armpit or uplift because there is no more obvious scar and pulling sensation of the upper limbs, and the axillary hair is also eradicated.
