Acute myeloid leukemia M5 is a type of myeloid leukemia that is relatively difficult to treat and the cure rate is determined mainly by the risk level. The cure rate is higher if the patient has a good prognosis and lower if the patient has a poor prognosis. It is also related to the treatment received by the patient; patients with a good prognosis have a poor prognosis if the treatment is not standardized. Patients with a poor prognosis can have a cure rate of 50%-60% if the treatment is very standardized, or even if a more intense treatment is taken, including doing a hematopoietic stem cell transplant. In addition, age is a very critical factor affecting the prognosis of leukemia.
