What to do when the weather is hot and muggy and your blood pressure is low and you’re sweating?

Low blood pressure belongs to the category of “dizziness” and “fatigue” in Chinese medicine. Low blood pressure and sweating in hot weather may be caused by deficiency of qi and blood, lack of qi (weak spleen and stomach qi), etc., which can be treated with medicines such as Shiquan Dazhuang Pill and Zhongzhong Yiqi Pill under the guidance of a doctor.
Shiquan Dazhuang Pill is composed of Radix Codonopsis Pilosulae, Atractylodes Macrocephalae, Poria, Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong, Radix Paeoniae Alba in Wine and Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata. It is used for symptoms such as pale face, shortness of breath, palpitation, dizziness and spontaneous sweating (involuntary sweating during the daytime, aggravated by sweating with slight movement) caused by deficiency of qi and blood, tiredness and fatigue, lack of warmth in the limbs, and heavy menstruation. Not suitable for patients with cold and fever.
Tonifying Zhong Yi Qi Pill is used in treating diarrhea, prolapse of anus, prolapsed uterus (even out of vagina) caused by weakness of spleen and stomach and sinking of middle qi (deficiency of spleen and stomach qi, which results in falling of internal organs), with symptoms such as tiredness and fatigue, low food intake and abdominal distension, loose stools, prolonged diarrhea, falling of anus or prolapsed anus, and prolapsed uterus. Avoid indigestible food during administration.
It is recommended that patients with low blood pressure and sweating when the weather is hot and muggy should consult a doctor for timely treatment, and take the above medicines under the guidance of a doctor.
