There is no such thing as a “secret formula for tonifying qi, replenishing blood and strengthening muscles and bones”. There is no so-called secret formula, but it should be decided according to the condition and physique of the person. 1. Dok Ju Parasite Soup: It has the effect of tonifying the liver and kidney, strengthening the tendons and bones, and tonifying qi and blood. It is mainly used for treating paralysis caused by deficiency of the liver and kidney (weakness of the liver and kidney functions) and insufficiency of qi and blood, which is manifested by pain and soreness in the lower back and knees, unfavorable flexion and stretching of the limbs, insensitivity and insensibility to numbness, fear of coldness, and shortness of breath caused by palpitations (accelerated heartbeat often accompanied with panic attacks). This product is contraindicated in hot body, adverse reactions include dry mouth, constipation. 2. Nourishing Blood and Rongjian Pill: It has the effect of tonifying the liver and kidney, nourishing sinews and bones, tonifying qi and blood, and is mainly used for treating impotence and weakness of limbs caused by deficiency of the liver and kidney (weakness of the liver and kidney) and failure of qi and blood to nourish sinews and bones, in which Cow’s Knee, Cortex Eucommiae, nourishes liver and kidney, Angelica Sinensis, Di Huang, nourishes yin and blood, Poria, ginseng, and nourishes qi. It is prohibited for hot body, adverse reactions include fire, constipation and so on. 3. Deer Antler and Four Gods Pill: It can nourish liver and kidney, nourish yin and clear heat (nourish yin essence and remove heat), and replenish qi and blood. It is mainly used for treating impotence of muscles and bones caused by deficiency and heat in the liver and kidney, weakness of walking, heartburn and fever, tastelessness of food and drink, and lack of energy and gas, etc. In the formula, ripened earth and deer antler can replenish qi and blood; cow’s knee and eucommia can replenish the liver and kidney; and codonopsis can nourish yin of the kidney. It is contraindicated in patients with weak spleen and stomach, with adverse reactions such as loss of appetite and abdominal distension. Duo Wu Zhaosheng Tang, Blood Tonic and Rongjin Pill, Deer Antler and Four Gods Pill have the effect of tonifying qi and blood, and strengthening muscles and bones. Patients who need to use these medicines need to be diagnosed by traditional Chinese medicine practitioners before using the medicines, and should not take the medicines on their own.
