Is methylprednisolone effective in interstitial pneumonia?

Methylprednisolone, or Methylprednisolone Sodium Succinate for Injection, is effective in controlling inflammation in interstitial pneumonias caused by certain etiologies.
1. Methylprednisolone Sodium Succinate for Injection, an intravenous glucocorticoid, is effective for interstitial pneumonitis, hypersensitivity pneumonitis, and acute interstitial pneumonitis caused by connective tissue disease.
2. The common adverse reactions of Methylprednisolone Sodium Succinate for Injection are elevated blood pressure, elevated blood glucose, dyspepsia, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, headache, meningitis, convulsions, Cushing’s Syndrome, and hyperlipidemia. The main contraindications are severe infections, hypersensitivity to methylprednisolone or any of the ingredients in the formula.
