Retroperitoneal pheochromocytoma may or may not heal. This tumor includes both benign and malignant tumors, both of which have different prognoses.
Pheochromocytoma belongs to neuroendocrine tumors, which are tumors originating from chromophilic tissues of the adrenal medulla and sympathetic nodes, etc. The prognosis of these two tumors is different according to whether they are benign or malignant:
1. If it is a benign pheochromocytoma, the tumor will not spread and metastasize, and it is feasible to treat it with surgery, which can remove the tumor completely, and the tumor will not recur, so it can be cured.
2. If the pheochromocytoma is malignant, the tumor may spread and metastasize, and after surgery and other treatments, the tumor may recur, which is the characteristic of malignant tumors, so it may not be cured.
