Liver function test for liver cancer?

Hepatocellular carcinoma usually develops as a result of the evolution of early liver diseases, such as cirrhosis, hepatocellular carcinoma, and fatty liver, and it is a common cancer of the digestive system with a high degree of malignancy and a poor prognosis.

But liver function tests alone cannot diagnose whether the body is suffering from liver cancer. Liver function tests mainly reflect the synthetic function of the liver and whether there is substantial damage and the causes of liver function damage.

The reason why liver function cannot diagnose liver cancer is that patients with early stage liver cancer do not have obvious symptoms and there are no abnormal indicators in liver function tests. The results of this study were confirmed by ultrasound and MRI.

In conclusion, simple liver function cannot indicate the development of liver cancer and needs to be combined with other indicators for a comprehensive analysis, and liver cancer should be treated with early diagnosis and aggressive treatment.
