  People know, “surgery hurt the vitality, boil some chicken soup to make up a tonic”, “post-operative supplement some kind of nutrition”.  Not to mention the scientific validity of these methods of “chicken soup” (which is not too nutritious), the concept of “post-operative nutrition” is indeed deeply rooted in people’s minds.  So what are the benefits of nutritional support after surgery?  Studies have found that perioperative nutritional support can improve nutritional status, improve surgical tolerance, reduce postoperative complications, shorten hospital stays, and improve recovery rates.  However, nutritional support here is not a “chicken soup” or “tonic”, but a scientific, professional and skillful discipline.
