What to do with tonsil nodules

The treatment of tonsillar nodules is clinically based on the nature of tonsillar nodules and has the following treatment options: First, benign nodules of the tonsils. They can be tonsil polyps formed by chronic inflammatory hyperplasia of the tonsils. Small ones do not need to be treated, but if they increase in size, surgery can be considered. Other nodules, such as papilloma of the tonsils formed by papilloma virus infection in some patients, can be treated similarly to tonsil polyps, and small ones do not cause significant discomfort to the patient. Secondly, malignant nodules of the tonsils can be tonsil cancer or lymphoma of the tonsils. Most of them are unilateral lesions of tonsils. Patients may have local ulcers or painless nodule enlargement in early stage, and if large nodules are clinically suspected to be malignant, local biopsy can be done for pathology. If the pathology is considered to be tonsil cancer or lymphoma, surgery or chemotherapy can be considered clinically.
