Gastric reflux in infants generally refers to gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), which is mainly treated with general treatment, medication and surgery.
1. General treatment: When infants suffer from gastroesophageal reflux disease, parents should try to hold them vertically when they are breastfeeding, gently pat the back of infants with an empty hand in time after breastfeeding, burp the babies, and try to raise the angle of the head of the bed when the infants are sleeping, in order to prevent reflux.
2. Medication: Acid suppressants such as cimetidine, gastrointestinal stimulants such as domperidone suspension, and gastric mucosal protectants such as aluminum sulfate can be given as prescribed by the doctor.
3. Surgical treatment: If there are abnormalities in the anatomical structure of the esophagus, such as relaxation of the lower esophageal sphincter, endoscopic radiofrequency treatment, injection treatment, etc., or surgical anti-reflux surgery can be performed to improve the condition.
When infants have GERD, parents are advised to bring their babies to the doctor in time and follow the doctor’s instructions for standardized treatment. The above medications should be used under the guidance of a doctor, do not blindly feed your baby medication.
