Ejaculation is generally not recommended for patients with epididymitis. Epididymitis is usually accompanied by localized swelling and pain as well as fever, and it is not advisable to perform the physiological activity of ejaculation during treatment. Epididymitis is a common disease in young adults. When the body resistance is low, pathogenic bacteria such as E. coli, staphylococcus and streptococcus will enter the vas deferens and invade the epididymis retrogradely, causing inflammation. Therefore, this disease is mostly secondary to posterior urethritis, prostatitis and seminal vesiculitis. The main symptoms include swelling of the scrotum, testicular pain, pain in urination, discharge from the penis, and blood in the semen. Patients with epididymitis can usually be treated with medications, such as antibiotics like ceftriaxone and levofloxacin; nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen; and anesthetics like lidocaine. Follow your doctor’s instructions for medication. It can also be treated with surgery, such as epididymectomy and surgery to repair genitourinary malformations. If you suffer from epididymitis and other diseases, it is recommended that you seek medical treatment in time and under the guidance of your doctor.
