Bone trauma cervical 4-5 dislocation fracture with ventilator assisted breathing after cervical spine stabilization surgery

Ren Shousong, Department of Spine Surgery, Jimo City People’s Hospital: Transfer is not possible. The current use of ventilators to maintain breathing indicates that the condition is still critical. It will be difficult to maintain breathing during the transfer. As for the next step of treatment, we cannot provide specific advice because of the lack of detailed understanding of the patient’s condition and treatment history. Treatment of cervical dislocation with spinal cord injury includes medication within 3-8 hours of the spinal cord injury, traction repositioning, and surgical decompression and fixation after stabilization. Treatment is aimed at preventing further damage to the spinal cord and there is no treatment for the primary injury. Therefore, recovery of neurological function is not guaranteed. Cervical dislocation combined with spinal cord injury is a relatively serious injury, and treatment in any medical unit is difficult and the results are hardly satisfactory. We hope that we can get through it as soon as possible.
