Indications and contraindications of bromocriptine

  Bromocriptine is a dopamine receptor agonist that is a derivative of ergoline. It can be used to control patients who produce lactation due to brain problems.  Indications 1, postpartum, spontaneous, tumorigenic, drug-induced amenorrhea.  2.Prolactin-induced menstrual disorders, infertility, secondary amenorrhea, reduced ovulation, etc.  3.Inhibition of lactation, prevention of lactation after childbirth and premature birth.  4.Postpartum breast engorgement, breast tenderness, breast swelling and irritability.  5.Prolactin-induced androgen hypogonadism, such as erectile dysfunction and sperm reduction caused by infertility.  6.Adjunctive treatment of acromegaly and gigantism.  7.This product is mainly used for anti-Parkinson’s disease. Combined with compound levodopa for the treatment of early Parkinson’s disease. Used in cases where levodopa is ineffective.  8.It is used for the adjuvant treatment of pituitary tumor with acromegaly.  9.Used for hyperprolactinemia caused by prolactinoma.  Contraindications 1. Contraindicated for those who are allergic to ergot preparations.  2. Contraindicated in severe ischemic heart disease and peripheral vascular disease.  3. Contraindicated in children under 15 years of age.  4. Contraindicated in pregnant and lactating women.  5.Persons with a history of severe psychiatric disorders are prohibited.  6.History of hypertension or hypertension, and gestational hypertensive syndrome or previous history of gestational hypertension.  7, Acromegaly with ulcer disease or history of bleeding.
