Symptoms of urethral cavernous contusion

If there is a contusion of the urethral corpus cavernosum, the early symptoms are localized congestion and edema, difficulty and pain in urination, or visualization of blood in the urine and long blood clots during urination. Patients with trauma should be examined promptly by performing color Doppler ultrasound of the penis and, if necessary, penile cavernosography to determine if there are any vascular abnormalities. In some cases, localized nodules may form after trauma, resulting in pain after erection or during sexual intercourse, and even affecting the sexual function of men. This is a more serious complication of penile and urethral spongiosomal contusions and requires regular urethral dilatation. Therefore, this condition should be treated promptly in order to avoid the occurrence and progression of serious diseases.
