Difference between acute and chronic

Acute is a condition that is very acute, comes on very quickly, the pain is very obvious, and if it is not treated immediately there is a risk of worsening infection or serious complications such as perforation, bleeding, and even death. Chronic cholecystitis is a condition that is not so acute, comes on slowly, and the pain is not very severe, and for the time being, it is not life-threatening. For example, in acute cholecystitis and chronic cholecystitis, acute cholecystitis is characterized by very obvious pain in the right upper abdomen, colic accompanied by nausea, vomiting and fever, and obvious swelling of the gallbladder, which may lead to serious complications such as perforation of the gallbladder if it is not actively treated. Chronic cholecystitis is characterized by a vague pain in the right upper abdomen, usually after rest or symptomatic treatment, the pain will be relieved, and for the time being, there is no need to rush to do surgery.
