Children take cephalosporin up to a few days

Cephalosporin is the general name of cephalosporin antibacterial drugs, and about 30 kinds are commonly used, which are divided into one, two, three and four generations according to the sequence of their invention and antibacterial performance. The main varieties in the market are ceftriaxone sodium, cefazolin sodium, cefotaxime, ceftazidime, ceftazidime, cefoperazone and cefuroxime, etc. The antibacterial spectrum of cephalosporins is relatively broad, and they have good antibacterial effects on some Gram-positive or Gram-negative bacteria. Children should go to the hospital to confirm the diagnosis before taking cephalosporins, which kind of bacterial infection, and then use the right medicine according to the test results. The course of anti-infection treatment for Streptococcus pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas chlamydiae, Klebsiella, etc. is different. Ordinary bacterial infections are generally fine if taken orally for 3-5 days, and it is best for children to take cephalosporin for no more than a week. If the child still does not improve after a week of medication, it is recommended to go to the hospital to review the blood routine, or to perform chest X-ray, and abdominal ultrasound to determine whether the inflammation is effectively controlled. The prolonged use of high doses of antibiotics may affect the child’s hematopoietic function to some extent. In addition, it may affect the function of the liver and kidneys of the child, and it is generally recommended to stop the medication after about 7 days. If the child’s condition is stable and the medication is effective, the duration of medication will be short. If the condition is complicated or there are changes in the condition, the duration of treatment may be prolonged and even other drugs may be added. So pediatric cephalosporin medication depends on the condition itself.
