How to use medication for psoriasis patients

It may also be a common habit of many other dermatologists, and I generally adhere to the medication principle of “not opening medication if I can use topical medication, and not opening injections and infusions if I can use oral medication”. The reasons are as follows: 1, many patients with skin diseases, including psoriasis patients, are localized skin involvement, topical drugs can directly target the diseased skin, the efficacy is reliable, good to grasp, good to observe, and can adjust the medication according to the situation in a timely manner. 2.Dermatology has always attached importance to topical drugs, so the development of topical drugs in dermatology is also rapid. For various skin diseases, there are many corresponding topical drugs available, with reliable efficacy, high safety and low price. 3.The side effects of topical drugs generally occur only locally and are well controlled, and there are few systemic adverse reactions. 4, for psoriasis, most patients do not need to take drugs and injections to achieve satisfactory results. Why need to take medicine. 5, there are relatively few effective and safe systemic drugs for psoriasis, which is determined by the complex pathogenesis of the disease itself. You can’t expect to be able to cure psoriasis by eating a combination of several plant and animal ingredients, although there are an infinite number of ways to combine these ingredients. 6. Only in a few more serious cases do I recommend the use of oral medication or injections and infusions for treatment. For some drug publicity that patients often ask, I suggest they pay attention to the following points: 1. First of all, look at whether it is a drug. The so-called drugs refer to products with the approval of the corresponding pharmaceutical management agencies and with drug approval, and the drugs have to undergo strict laboratory research and clinical experimental verification to obtain drug qualifications. Nowadays, many products that are advertised for the treatment of psoriasis are actually not drugs. And it is not a drug to advertise therapeutic effects. Very unfortunately, such illegality is common. 2.Understand the composition of the drug. Do not use drugs without knowing the ingredients. Any kind of drug has to have legitimate ingredients. The composition of the drug is related to its theoretical basis, efficacy and safety. Do not understand the theoretical basis, efficacy and safety of the drug is certainly not allowed to use. 3, the way to obtain drugs. “The fruit of the tree of sin is sinful”, and drugs obtained through incorrect means are also not allowed to be used. Generally speaking, the correct way to get drugs includes: 1) buying them in a hospital according to a doctor’s prescription; 2) buying over-the-counter drugs in a pharmacy; 3) buying prescription drugs in a pharmacy with a prescription. Other sources of medication such as mail order, private purchases, gifts from friends, recommendations from patients, and prescriptions from illegal practitioners are wrong and can have adverse consequences. The best example is the vaccine fiasco the other day, which proved afterwards that the vaccine was qualified, but the procedure of using the medicine was illegal, so it caused serious consequences. 4, the medication method should be correct: psoriasis is a chronic disease, and many patients need treatment for a long time. Doctors prescribe drugs generally according to the situation at the time of the consultation, and some have to be adjusted after a while. The short-term side effects and long-term side effects of some drugs are different.
