Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, which mainly has the effect of reducing fever and is usually recommended only when it exceeds 38.5°C. If the fever does not improve repeatedly after taking ibuprofen, it is recommended to go to the hospital for examination and treatment, usually related to bacterial or viral infections. If the fever is caused by a bacterial infection, it can be treated with oral anti-inflammatory drugs such as cephalosporins. If it is caused by a viral infection, it can be treated with antiviral medication, such as oseltamivir.
