Bleeding for a few days after the IUD

Generally after IUD placement, the small amount of vaginal bleeding will be completely cleared in about a week. IUD placement is a very effective means of contraception and is the main contraceptive measure for women of childbearing age in China and around the world. The second is the active IUD, which contains active substances, such as copper ions or hormonal drugs, etc. These active substances can improve the effectiveness of contraception. The IUD is usually placed about three days after the menstrual period. During placement, a small portion of the endometrium may be damaged, resulting in a small amount of vaginal bleeding, which usually disappears completely about seven days after the procedure. In addition, it should be noted that if the bleeding does not disappear for more than ten days, if the bleeding is heavy, or if there is abdominal pain, the patient needs to go to the gynecological clinic for symptomatic examination and treatment at any time. At the same time, patients need to pay attention to nutrition and avoid exertion after IUD release.
