What is myasthenia gravis?

Myasthenia gravis (MG) is an autoimmune disease caused by dysfunction of transmission at the nerve-muscle junction. It is essentially an autoimmune disease, such as rheumatoid arthritis, hyperthyroidism, and systemic lupus erythematosus, all of which fall under this category. It develops at the nerve-muscle junction, that is, patients with myasthenia gravis have no problems with nerve conduction and muscle contraction, but only problems with the intermediate transmission link when the nerve transmits instructions to the muscle, just like a telephone not ringing, the telephone set is fine, the telephone line is fine, the problem lies at the joint between the telephone line and the telephone set (not connected properly).
