The dangers of high blood pressure

About more than 90% of hypertension has no exact cause (medically known as primary hypertension), which is related to age, gender, genetics and other factors, but the exact pathogenesis is not clear. Many people do not care because their blood pressure is high, but they do not have obvious discomfort such as headache and dizziness, chest tightness, etc. High blood pressure causes thickening of the arterial lining, hardening of the blood vessels, thickening and narrowing of the walls; it also damages the arterial walls, forming plaques or aneurysms, and in case of aortic dissection and rupture, the condition will be dangerous and the mortality rate will be extremely high. 2. Heart: High blood pressure increases arterial resistance, causing the left ventricle to push harder to get blood out, which in the long run will make the left ventricle hypertrophy, resulting in heart failure; the coronary arteries supplying blood flow to the heart harden, thus increasing the risk of angina pectoris and myocardial infarction. 3. Brain: High blood pressure causes blood vessels in the brain to rupture and bleed, or blood clots block blood flow to various parts of the brain, which is the main cause of stroke. 4. Kidney: High blood pressure can deteriorate blood circulation in the kidneys and damage kidney function, causing kidney failure. 5. Eyes: Causes atherosclerotic lesions of the retina, which can lead to severe blindness. 6. Metabolic syndrome: Hypertension often combines the presence of high blood sugar and high blood fat, which interact and influence each other, causing great harm to the human body such as diabetes, heart disease and stroke. In short, timely detection of hypertension and receive effective scientific treatment, in order to avoid or delay complications and improve the quality of life.
