The duration of fracture pain relief is related to the severity of the fracture. In the case of a minor fracture, a simple fracture, pain can be significantly relieved or disappear in about a week after the initial firming, fixation and braking of the cast. If the severity of the fracture is more severe, such as the presence of a comminuted fracture accompanied by severe soft tissue contusions around the fracture, pain relief for this type of fracture is relatively slow and can sometimes extend to 3-4 weeks. Regardless of the type of fracture, if local pain occurs, anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving treatment can be actively administered. It is also important to elevate the affected limb to help reduce swelling at the fracture site, which is also very helpful for pain relief.
