Internal fixation is surgical treatment, i.e., plate or intramedullary nail. External fixation is external plaster fixation or external splinting. However, surgical treatment is recommended for limb fractures because it can prevent joint adhesions and stiffness as well as muscle atrophy by performing functional exercises of adjacent joints at an early stage, which is helpful for long-term rehabilitation and has certain significance. The fracture can cause complications after conservative treatment, and surgery will overcome this complication. The most important complications of conservative treatment are stiffness and adhesions of the joint as well as atrophy of the muscles. If these symptoms occur, the function of the limbs and adjacent joints will definitely be affected and the body’s motor function will be affected.
