Treatment of pancreatitis caused by gallbladder stones

Pancreatitis caused by gallbladder stones generally includes pancreatitis caused by gallbladder stones and bile duct stones, collectively known as biliary pancreatitis. The treatment of biliary pancreatitis is the same as the treatment of ordinary pancreatitis, except that since pancreatitis is caused by gallbladder stones or biliary tract stones, gallbladder stones and biliary tract diseases should be dealt with. For pancreatitis caused by gallbladder stones, patients are advised to remove the gallbladder and remove stones in the bile duct in the early stage. The stones in the bile duct can be treated with ERCP to remove the stones from the bile duct. And in a few patients, if the stones in the gallbladder are single, preservation of the gallbladder can be considered, i.e. biliary stone removal surgery. The pancreatitis caused by gallbladder stones is the same as ordinary pancreatitis, and patients also need fasting, even gastrointestinal decompression, and anti-inflammatory, enzyme and acid suppression treatment. In addition, patients should also undergo nutritional support therapy to allow pancreatic edema and inflammation to subside, as well as adjuvant therapy with Chinese herbs.
