1. Children with permanent epicardial pacemakers need to be reviewed regularly, routinely one month after surgery, three months later, and then every six months or so thereafter. If the pacemaker has been installed for more than five years, you will be informed of the remaining time after each review, and the review time can be shortened if necessary. 2. Since the review requires professional equipment, each review needs to be done at a specified time. 3. Families of children under review need to inform the doctor at least two days in advance through various contacts before each review. 4. Remember to pick up the manual of precautions for pacemakers when reviewing children with pacemakers.
