Postoperative recurrence of liver cancer with metastasis has very little possibility of cure, mainly because the recurrent tumor is transferred to distant organs with the help of blood and lymphatic system, which has poor therapeutic effect. Postoperative recurrence of liver cancer with metastasis generally indicates that the tumor is of high malignant degree, the recurrence of the tumor itself has poor prognosis, and the emergence of distant organ metastasis on the basis of recurrence suggests that the malignant degree is high and basically has no great therapeutic value, so the possibility of cure is very small. Postoperative recurrence of liver cancer metastasis mainly relies on blood or lymphatic system to carry out distant metastasis, not only the tumor metastasis to neighboring organs, but also the metastasis to lungs, brain, bones and so on. Therefore, for organ metastasis, the possibility of tumor cure is very small. Therefore, when recurrent metastasis of liver cancer occurs after surgery, most of the cases are treated with palliative treatment strategy of symptomatic supportive therapy, in order to improve the quality of patient’s survival and prolong the survival period as much as possible.
