Is hip pain not osteonecrosis of the femoral head?

Whenever I go out to the clinic, I often encounter this situation. Often, people go to the doctor for hip pain and ask if it is osteonecrosis of the femoral head. Or, a young person who is frustrated, says that a specialist has diagnosed her with osteonecrosis of the femoral head and asks how to treat it, but there is no good way. What other tests are needed? In fact, hip pain is a common symptom. The primary etiology is different for different ages and genders. In young patients, hip pain firstly excludes sprain and arthritis, joint sprain is the most common, followed by such as rheumatoid arthritis, synovitis and so on. These two diseases are not taken seriously by orthopedic surgeons in primary care hospitals, or even in large hospitals, and they do not pay attention to exclusion, which may lead to unnecessary panic in patients. If a male patient has a history of adrenocorticotropic hormone application (hormone application is most likely to occur during the treatment of allergies, skin diseases, rheumatoid diseases, etc.) or a history of long-term alcohol abuse or a history of hip fall (or severe sprain) after jumping over, with persistent soreness and pain deep in the joint, or even in the bones as some people describe it, and significantly aggravated by weight bearing on the ground and reduced without weight bearing, and lasting for more than a month without relief, or even gradually If the pain is aggravated, it can be examined in depth whether the osteonecrosis of the femoral head is present, and the most critical examination is hip X-ray and MRI, one of which is missing. If you are a young woman with frequent discomfort and pain in the hip joint, which has been slightly aggravated in recent months, you should first exclude synovitis as well, and then, according to whether the pain is related to the location of the joint, you should focus on excluding hip dysplasia and hip joint compression syndrome by X-ray and MRI. In short, the diseases that can cause hip pain are synovitis or rheumatoid arthritis, hip joint compression syndrome, hip dysplasia, etc., and then osteonecrosis, in order of incidence. With the improvement of medical treatment and the scientific application of hormones, the incidence of osteonecrosis of the femoral head is not very high. If you have hip pain, please go to a professional orthopedic surgeon. In China, you may need to see several more doctors, and don’t trust some “so-called old experts”. Those who are good at arguing are often not good doctors, and the diagnosis and treatment are not trustworthy. At present, clinical practice and research have not found a drug that can effectively treat osteonecrosis of the femoral head. If you are diagnosed with osteonecrosis of the femoral head, please do not use a large number of drugs to treat it rashly. This is often counterproductive and may delay the disease.
