Sudden red bumps on your baby’s body are likely to be hives, or possibly papular urticaria. Papular urticaria, usually due to insect bites, is a form of insect bite dermatitis. If it is acute urticaria, prompt and effective measures are taken. Usually it is a topical application of glyburide lotion or topical application with Denide cream, and then oral anti-allergy drugs or anti-histamine drugs, such as loratadine syrup or cetirizine syrup. If the baby is less than 1 year old, paracetamol or cyproheptadine can be given orally to the baby.
