The common reasons for not being able to urinate after hemorrhoid surgery are the following: First, due to the effects of anesthesia, because the nerves controlling bladder defecation are blocked, especially after lumbar anesthesia, the urination reflex is inhibited, causing urine to be expelled laboriously. Second, hemorrhoid surgery stimulation, due to more complex surgical operations, excessive damage, trauma is relatively large, can reflexively cause spasm of the urethral sphincter, thus producing difficulty in urination. Third, if the postoperative anal pain is relatively heavy, resulting in urinary disorder, it can reflexively cause spasm of the urethral sphincter, thus making it difficult to urinate. There is another kind, if the postoperative anal canal is filled with too much dressing in the rectum, compressing the bladder, foreign body stimulation can reflexively cause spasm of the urethral sphincter, and urination disorder occurs. If the patient is fearful after surgery, the psychological factors are more stressful and sometimes reflexively cause difficulty in urination.
