Can erosive gastritis with sinus bulge become cancerous?

Gastric sinus bulge erosive gastritis can cause cancer, especially if the sinus bulge erosion is a separate lesion and not multiple, the chances of cancer are greater. If this is encountered, it is recommended to take pathological tests under endoscopy to see if there is atypical hyperplasia or heterogeneous hyperplasia. If there is heterogeneous hyperplasia, it needs to be reviewed regularly, and if it is moderate to severe heterogeneous hyperplasia, it needs to be treated with endoscopic minimally invasive treatment. If there is an augmented erosion in the gastric sinus, further testing for H. pylori is recommended to see if there is a co-infection with H. pylori, as H. pylori infection can cause an augmented erosion in the gastric sinus. If the bacteria is positive, it is recommended to clear the bacteria, the conventional clearing medication is quadruple drug clearance, oral medication for 14 days and further review after one month of discontinuation. In the case of gastric sinus bulge erosive gastritis, further gastroscopy is recommended after regular treatment.
