Neiguan is mainly used for the treatment of cardiothoracic disorders, gastric disorders, and psychosomatic disorders, etc. It can be operated by moxibustion, as well as by massage and acupuncture.
Neiguan is on the palm side of the forearm, two inches above the transverse carpal stripe, and is located in the middle of the tendon of the palmaris longus and the tendon of the radial flexor carpi radialis. It can treat cardiothoracic conditions such as chest tightness, chest pain, palpitation, and cardiac pain; gastric ailments such as eructation (hiccups), vomiting, and gastric pain; and psychosomatic evidence such as epilepsy, insomnia, and other localized ailments such as numbness of the fingers, hemiplegia, and paralysis of the upper limbs.
This point can be operated by moxa cone moxibustion, moxa stick suspension moxibustion, moxibustion and other moxibustion operations, and can also be operated by needling, kneading and pressing on the end of the finger.
