Thyroid ultrasound grading

As the number of patients with thyroid nodules increases, and ultrasound is the main method of thyroid nodule examination, many patients encounter ultrasound reports that say how many levels of TI-RADS, what does this mean? Here is the answer: TI-RADS is a thyroid imaging reporting and data system that is divided into 6 levels: Level 0: no abnormalities seen on ultrasound in clinically suspected cases, additional tests are needed. Grade 1: Negative, with normal size and echogenicity of the gland, no nodules, cysts or calcifications. Grade 2: benign with 0% risk of malignancy, all requiring clinical follow-up. Grade 3: Probably benign, risk of malignancy is <2%, puncture biopsy may be required. Grade 4: The probable percentage of malignancy is 5 to 50% need to combine with clinical diagnosis! Grade 5: Suggests the highest likelihood of cancer at <95% Grade 6: Cytologically detectable cancer. Definitely diagnosed as cancer!
