After breast surgery, patients need to wait for the wound to recover completely before wearing a bra, but the recovery time after different breast surgeries is different, and the time to wear a bra is also different. For example, for minimally invasive mastectomy or benign tumor resection, due to the small trauma and fast recovery, the patient can basically recover from 1-2 weeks after surgery and can wear a bra when necessary. In the case of mastectomy, however, due to the greater trauma, it takes about 1 month for the wound to recover and most of the subsequent systemic treatment is required for a longer period of time, so patients can resume normal life after about half a year. Patients are advised to choose loose, comfortable and breathable bras after recovering from breast surgery, preferably wearing cotton bras and avoiding wearing too tight bras.
