What is the position of the fetal position LSA

Ultrasound examination shows that the fetal position LSA means breech position. Breech position means that the fetus’ buttocks are underneath and the head is on top, which is not a normal fetal position because the normal fetal position is cephalic position with the head underneath. Most breech deliveries are by cesarean section to ensure the safety of the mother and the fetus. The fetal position can be determined around 32 weeks of pregnancy. If the breech position is shown before 32 weeks, the position of the fetus may turn over later, but if the breech position is still shown after 32 weeks, the fetus will not turn to the head position. In conclusion, fetal position LSA is an abnormal fetal position. If the fetal position LSA is still present near the expected date of delivery, it is better to choose the right time for cesarean section and terminate the pregnancy under the guidance of the doctor.
