Effects of Bactrim

Bactrim, also known as rivaroxaban tablets, is used primarily for the treatment and prevention of deep vein thrombosis. It is more commonly used to prevent venous thrombosis in adults prior to elective hip and knee replacement surgery. In addition, Bactrim can be used to treat venous thrombosis in adults and to reduce recurrences due to venous thrombosis and pulmonary embolism due to venous thrombosis. Bactrim may also be used in the treatment of adult patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation due to one or more risk factors. The so-called risk factors, such as the presence of congestive heart failure, hypertension, diabetes mellitus and stroke, can reduce the risk of systemic embolism and decrease the incidence of stroke.
