If you have stomach discomfort, stomach pain or gastric indigestion after meals, consider the occurrence of gastritis or gastric ulcer, which is generally more likely to be a gastric ulcer. Gastric ulcer is now common in clinical practice with Helicobacter pylori infection, and patients can experience stomach pain in regular, recurrent episodes, usually significantly worse after meals, accompanied by indigestion. Some patients may even have positive fecal occult blood, and it is recommended that gastroscopy and breath tests can be performed on an empty stomach. If positive for H. pylori, it is recommended to give bactericidal treatment, two antibiotics plus proton pump inhibitor plus pectin secretion can be considered. It is generally recommended to treat with bactericidal treatment for two weeks, stop for one month and recheck the breath test again.
