Ultrasound ablation for uterine fibroids, as a new non-invasive treatment modality, uses focused ultrasound to treat fibroids directly in the body from outside the body. There is no wound, no incision, no bleeding, not only can kill the fibroids and cure the disease, but also preserve the integrity of the woman’s uterus. It avoids being an incomplete woman. However, no treatment is perfect and no side effects occur at all. The disadvantage of ultrasound ablation is that it is not suitable for fibroids with rich blood supply, oversized fibroids, broad ligament fibroids, and partial cervical fibroids. The side effects of ultrasound ablation for uterine fibroids are: 1. intestinal damage 2. nerve damage 3. skin damage Common reactions after ultrasound ablation for uterine fibroids treatment: 1. abdominal wall discomfort: due to intestinal preparation and drug introduction before treatment and maintaining a certain position during surgery, it mostly gets better in one or two days after surgery. 2.Muscle aches and pains: there may be different degrees of muscle aches and pains due to maintaining a certain position during the treatment, which will improve after resting. There may be some changes in the first one or two menstrual periods after the treatment; due to the stressful performance of the treatment and the fibroids near the endometrium may be affected. 3.Mild swelling and pain in the lower abdomen, slight swelling and pain in the hip and waist: it is related to the body position in the treatment and mostly improves in a few days after the operation. 4.Small amount of vaginal discharge: it may occur when the myoma is close to the endothelium due to the stimulation of the myoma. Very rarely, there is light blood discharge, keep the vulva clean, and it mostly improves after menstruation. 5.Dizziness and mild nausea: caused by the application of sedative and analgesic drugs during the treatment, which mostly improves after rest after the operation.
