SLAP injury is an injury to the glenoid labrum of the shoulder joint. It is common in athletes who have been throwing for a long time, or who have been playing a lot of sports with the shoulder joint for a long time, such as playing badminton or tennis, and the injury can lead to pain and impaired movement of the shoulder joint, especially when the upper limb is flexed and extended posteriorly to perform head-touching movements. If the injury is not serious and does not affect daily life, conservative treatment can be performed to avoid strenuous sports activities. If the injury is serious and affects daily life, surgical treatment can be considered to heal the injury by arthroscopic suturing of the glenoid labrum to make the shoulder joint pain disappear and restore the function of the shoulder joint.
