Are tooth extractions dangerous?

There are certain dangers associated with tooth extraction. There is a possibility of allergy to local anesthetic drugs, temporary facial paralysis, syncope, coma, post-extraction bleeding, hematoma, inflammation, infection, etc. There is also a possibility of acute heart attack, shock, and in severe cases, even life threatening. If the maxillary molar is extracted, there is also a possibility that the oral cavity will be connected to the maxillary sinus. If the wisdom tooth or buried tooth in low position needs to be extracted, it may also lead to nerve damage, tooth, mucosa, tongue on the side of extraction, sensory impairment or pain, and most seriously, there is a possibility that it may lead to fracture of the mandible.
