How long can I take a shower after an abortion

Normally, if you want to take a shower, you can do so about a week after the abortion. However, if you want to take a tub bath, it is recommended that you do so one month after the abortion procedure. There may be a small amount of vaginal bleeding for a week after the abortion, as the uterus is recovering. Also, there is a period of weakness after abortion and the body’s immunity is poor, so it usually takes about a week to two weeks to recover. In the case of a better recovery, it usually takes only about a week, so you can take a shower at the earliest after a week after the abortion. Of course, if your body is not recovering well, if you are still bleeding a lot, and if you have abdominal pain, showering is not recommended. In addition, if there is still vaginal bleeding and strong abdominal pain for more than a week after the abortion, there may be residues in the uterine cavity and other conditions, so you need to go to the gynecological clinic of the hospital in time for symptomatic examination and treatment.
