The use of a pain pump is recommended after minimally invasive pediatric hernia surgery to avoid crying due to postoperative pain. Strenuous activities should be avoided after hernia surgery to prevent elevated abdominal pressure. The ability of children to tolerate pain is deviated, therefore, it is recommended to use pain pump in the first three days after pediatric surgery to relieve pain and avoid children crying to elevate the abdominal pressure or even hernia recurrence. However, attention needs to be paid to control the dose of the drug, if it does not cause pain generally do not need to turn on the switch. In addition to pain pumps, painkillers such as tramadol and ibuprofen can be chosen on the advice of the doctor to relieve pain after surgery. A light diet should be paid attention to after the operation to prevent the pediatric patient’s abdominal pressure from increasing due to forceful defecation.
