The recurrence rate of pharyngeal papilloma is 70%-80%. Laryngeal papilloma is especially prone to recurrence after surgery. Papilloma virus infection causes papilloma, and about 1/3 of adult patients will recur after surgical treatment, and repeated recurrence can easily cause malignant transformation. Currently, pharyngeal papillomas are generally treated with CO2 laser surgery, and the recurrence rate is relatively lower than before. If the recurrence rate of pediatric pharyngeal papilloma reaches 70%-80%, the pediatric patient is in the process of development. If the tumor causes airway obstruction, it will affect the child’s voice and even cause a dangerous state, so this recurrence needs to be treated in time. Patients with pharyngeal papilloma need regular review after surgery, and once the tumor recurs, standardized treatment should be carried out immediately.
