Generally speaking, anyone with solid evidence and yin deficiency and yang deficiency should not drink astragalus and maitake water. However, the active ingredients of drinking water are limited, and the decoction method is recommended.

Astragalus: has the effect of tonifying qi and elevating yang, fixing the surface to stop sweating (stopping sweating by consolidating the surface of the muscle), inducing diuresis to eliminate swelling, promoting stagnation and paralysis (making the paralyzed meridians smooth), and promoting the production of fluids and nourishing the blood.
It can be used in the treatment of qi deficiency and weakness, loose stools (thin and unformed feces), spontaneous sweating (due to weakness of the muscle surface and frequent natural sweating), qi deficiency and edema, prolonged diarrhea and prolapse of the anus, blood in the stool and leakage of menstrual flow (excessive menstrual flow or dripping) and other conditions. Adverse reactions are not clear, solid evidence and yin deficiency and yang bloomers should not be taken.
2. Ophiopogon: It has the efficacy of nourishing yin and generating fluids, moistening the lungs and clearing the heart, and can be used in the treatment of dry lung and dry cough, thirst due to injury of fluids, heartburn and insomnia, as well as constipation due to dryness of the intestines and constipation. Adverse reactions and contraindications are not clear.
Astragalus and maitong in water as tea can help replenish qi and elevate yang, nourish yin and promote the production of body fluid, but it is not suitable for people with solid symptoms and yin and yang deficiency.
