Proper handling of baby choking

The correct treatment of baby choking includes positional drainage, stimulate the baby to cry and so on.
1. Position drainage: If the baby is choking after eating, the baby should be kept lying on the side or flat and head to one side, and can avoid the milk flow into the trachea causing the baby to choke. If the baby is choking on milk, the baby should be placed in a prone position on the parent’s lap, which is conducive to the flow of milk out of the trachea.
2. Stimulate the baby to cry: If the above two methods are ineffective, family members should gently play the soles of the baby’s feet, so that the baby is stimulated to produce pain and cry, which is conducive to the elimination of milk in the trachea, so as to maintain smooth breathing.
If the above methods can not alleviate the symptoms of choking, it is recommended that the family take the baby to a professional hospital as soon as possible, and under the guidance of the doctor for emergency treatment.
