What should glaucoma patients be aware of?

Glaucoma is a lifelong disease that is going to be with everyone for the rest of their lives. Many times treatment is done at home because you still have fewer visits to the hospital, so it is mainly up to people to treat it at home. What are the things to pay attention to here? Just live your life normally, don’t think too much about it and don’t limit your life. Here are some things to note: Glaucoma patients should do “one not, two to, three regular”. “One no”: don’t go by your own feeling. “Two: lifelong IOP-lowering treatment, and pay attention to the progress of the disease. “Three regular”: check IOP regularly, check hypotension regularly and check visual field regularly. Patients should not go by self-perception, but must strictly follow the doctor’s arrangement for regular checkups and continuous treatment. The treatment of lowering IOP must be adhered to for life, and regular IOP, fundus and visual field checkups should be performed to understand the effect of treatment. Learn to live with glaucoma. Staying optimistic and living a regular life is all that each of us with glaucoma can do.
