Will you lose all your teeth if you have oral cancer?

Oral cancer may cause patients to lose all the teeth in their mouths, but it cannot be generalized due to different conditions and symptoms. Oral cancer refers to malignant tumors occurring in buccal mucosa, upper and lower gums, hard palate, tongue and floor of mouth, and it is classified into tongue cancer, floor of mouth cancer, gum cancer, buccal cancer and palate cancer according to the site of occurrence. For oral cancer patients, the development of the disease may lead to the symptoms of loose teeth or even loss of teeth. Therefore, it cannot be ruled out that some oral cancer patients may lose all their teeth when their disease develops to a certain stage. However, some oral cancer patients with timely diagnosis and treatment may not suffer from loose teeth or tooth loss. Oral cancer patients are often accompanied by other uncomfortable symptoms, such as mouth ulcers, mouth pain, cheek lumps, bad breath and weight loss. It is suggested that oral cancer patients should consult the doctor in time and take active treatment under the doctor’s guidance, so as to avoid delaying the condition.
