How long does it take for sinusitis to become cancerous

The time to cancer in gastric sinusitis is related to the type of pathology and severity of the disease, which varies from person to person and cannot be generalized. Gastric sinusitis is an inflammatory reaction of the mucosa of the gastric sinus caused by pathogenic factors, which is a common stomach disease and can be divided into non-atrophic and atrophic. There is a close relationship between gastric cancer and atrophic sinusitis, and the cancer rate for those with atrophic gastritis is 10%, while non-atrophic sinusitis is generally not cancerous. Long-term recurrent attacks of non-atrophic sinusitis may lead to atrophic sinusitis. Further development of atrophic gastritis may lead to intestinalization and heterogeneous hyperplasia, and the risk of cancer increases significantly, but the cancer process is relatively long, usually taking several years to a decade. It is important to maintain good dietary and hygiene habits, quit smoking and drinking, pay attention to the regularity of work and rest, and increase physical exercise to enhance your immune system. At the same time, regular review of gastroscopy is needed to prevent the progression of sinusitis.
