What foods can you eat better after a colonoscopy

You can eat some light and easy-to-digest food after colonoscopy, such as rice soup, millet porridge, noodles and so on.
1. General colonoscopy
(1) If there is no other special treatment, you can have a normal diet with light and less-fiber food, such as rice porridge and noodles.
(2) If the pain during colonoscopy is severe and the operation is not carried out smoothly, which may damage the intestinal mucosa, fluid or semi-liquid food, such as rice soup, rice porridge, etc. should be fed after the operation.
(3) For patients who undergo small polypectomy or biopsy forceps to remove polyps under enteroscopy, they should eat liquid or semi-liquid food with little residue on the same day, such as rice soup, rice porridge, etc., and can return to normal thereafter.
(4) For patients who have undergone larger polyp removal under enteroscopy, they should follow the medical advice to fast for 1 to 2 days after the operation, and then change to liquid diet, such as rice soup, noodle soup; then semi-liquid diet, such as rice porridge, etc., and gradually return to normal diet.
2. Painless colonoscopy: after the examination, patients should observe for 30 minutes to make sure there is no discomfort before leaving, and then they can eat water only after 1~2 hours, mainly light and easy-to-digest food, and gradually return to normal diet.
